September Customer Campaign: Cold Weather Rule

Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule is in effect October 1 through April 30 and provides additional protections for residential utility customers during the heating season.

The Cold Weather Rule does not mean utility service cannot be disconnected for nonpayment. Customers who are behind on their utility bills or concerned about a possible disconnection should contact Grand Rapids Public Utilities as soon as possible to discuss available options.
