Winter Parking Ordinance

Beetle Bug car in the snow

The City of Grand Rapids Winter Parking Ordinance goes into effect on November 1st.  This ordinance requires vehicle owners to remove their vehicles from streets when snow plowing or snow removal operations are in progress.   The Grand Rapids Public Works Department will make every effort to inform residents when plowing is anticipated based upon information received from the National Weather Service. This will be done through the Community Alert System within the City website, Facebook, Grand Rapids Herald Review website, Reader Board on Pokegama Avenue and KMFY/KOZY Radio.

If you are in violation of City Winter Parking Ordinance and awake to find a yellow parking citation affixed to your car.
