Drug Task Force

Welcome to the aitkin-itasca-mille lacs violent crimes enforcement team (aim vcEt)

Formed in January 2022, the Aitkin-Itasca-Mille Lacs Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (AIM VCET) is a multi-agency task force dedicated to combating illegal drug activity and violent crime across Aitkin, Itasca and Mille Lacs counties. Funded by a grant from the State of Minnesota, AIM VCET brings together the resources and expertise of local law enforcement through a joint powers agreement. 

Participating agencies include the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office, Aitkin Police Department, Itasca County Sheriff's Office, Grand Rapids Police Department, and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office. Together, officers and agents work across jurisdictions to identify, investigate, and disrupt criminal networks impacting our communities.

Since its inception, AIR VCET has led numerous successful investigations resulting in significant arrests and seizures, reinforcing our commitment to public safety and collaborative law enforcement.
