Grand Rapids Police Department Policies

Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (MN POST) establishes law enforcement licensing and training requirements and sets standards for law enforcement agencies and officers throughout the state. MN POST Board is the licensing authority for all local, county and state law enforcement officers in the State of Minnesota.   For purposes of transparency and to remain compliant with Minn. Rules Chap. 6700.1615 Subp. 2(A), a law enforcement agency must ensure that the current version of each mandatory policy is posted on the law enforcement agency’s website.  If the agency does not have a website, the policy must be posted in the public area of the agency’s physical premises. Each of the mandated policies have been long established and utilized by Grand Rapids Police Department.
