WHAT IS IT?
A trespass notice in Minnesota is a written demand to leave a property. It's issued by the lawful owner or their agent. The notice informs the individual that they are not allowed to enter or occupy the property.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
- To prohibit someone from trespassing on the property.
- To demand that someone leave the property immediately.
- To inform someone that any attempt to enter the property will be considered a criminal trespass.
HOW DO I FILE FOR ENFORCEMENT?
- Complete attached PDF form.
- Print and serve a completed form to the trespasser.
- File a copy of the trespass notice with the Grand Rapids Police Department at policerecords@grandrapidsmn.gov
