TRESPASS NOTICE

WHAT IS IT?

A trespass notice in Minnesota is a written demand to leave a property. It's issued by the lawful owner or their agent. The notice informs the individual that they are not allowed to enter or occupy the property.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

• To prohibit someone from trespassing on the property.
• To demand that someone leave the property immediately.
• To inform someone that any attempt to enter the property will be considered a criminal trespass.

HOW DO I FILE FOR ENFORCEMENT?

• Complete attached PDF form. 
• Print and serve a completed form to the trespasser.
• File a copy of the trespass notice with the Grand Rapids Police Department at policerecords@grandrapidsmn.gov
