HOSPITAL SECURITY OFFICER

Job Summary:  Maintain security at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital, minimize disruptions, respond to emergencies to provide security for staff/patients/facilities, coordinate with police department responding to emergencies at hospital, provide escort services and assistance to employees/visitors, report safety hazards/property damage, check facilities after hours, and prepare reports.  24/7 shift schedules.  Requires HS diploma/GED.  Associates Degree in police/criminal justice or related field or relevant experience may be substituted.  General knowledge of principles/practices of security work and ability to understand/carry out oral/written directions also required.  Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.  No prior criminal record or history.  Experience dealing with the public.  Good communication skills.  Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and on short-notice.  Compliance with vaccination policies will apply.  Law Enforcement students are strongly encouraged to apply.  Starting wage is $22.427 per hour.
