Library Volunteers

Volunteers have an important role at Grand Rapids Area Library. Staff rely on dozens of community volunteers each year to support the tasks that keep us running. These can include:

  • Light cleaning/dusting (regular, ongoing)
  • Re-shelving books (regular, ongoing)
  • Serving on the GRAL Foundation Board (long-term)
  • Serving on the GRAL Friends Board (long-term)
  • Special events (short-term)
  • Special projects (short-term)

If you are interested in becoming one of the Library's many volunteers, please complete a volunteer application, available at our Circulation Desk.

With questions, please contact Nicole Johnson, Library Volunteer Coordinator, at 218-327-8828 or njohnson@grandrapidsmn.gov.
