Fireworks Permits

In accordance with MINNESOTA STATUTES 624.20, the City of Grand Rapids
issues permits for the sale and display of fireworks within the city limits. 

Permit Process for Retailers wishing to sell fireworks to the public must submit the following to the City Clerk no less than 15 days prior to the start of sales:

• Completed Fireworks Permit Application
• Completed, signed and Notarized Authorization for Background Check
• Application Fee:   $100/current retail stores  or  $350/retailer selling

Permit Process for Organizations wishing to host a fireworks/pyrotechnics display must submit the following to the City Clerk no less than 15 days prior to the date of display:
