IRA Civic Center Project

Project Updates
 

The Grand Rapids IRA Civic Center is undergoing construction.  Here we will provide ongoing updates on the status of the project along with photos and videos as they are available.  If you have questions regarding the IRA Civic Center Project, please contact Tom Pagel at 218-326-7626.

Planned updates and repairs include: 

• West Venue Roof Replacement
• Accessibility Upgrades
• Upgraded meeting spaces

Current status: October 13, 2023 :   

Progress and current status:

• Civic Center Staff making ice in the west venue.
• First skating in west venue is scheduled for 11/3.
• Various final inspections completed or scheduled this week including refrigeration system, elevator, plumbing, fire suppression systems, electrical.
• Final interior finishes complete except for minor painting touch-up.
• Upper lobby is essentially complete.
• New dasher board installation in the west venue is essentially complete.
• The project remains on budget.
• The project is on schedule to meet the 11/3 date for full occupancy.
