  • Park & Recreation

To serve the Grand Rapids area by providing outstanding opportunities through our facilities, programming and civic partnerships

The City of Grand Rapids has over 200 acres of parks and open space lands, and nearly 50 miles of city trails for your recreational pleasure. Throughout the City, park facilities offer a wide variety of recreational uses including: softball and  baseball fields, soccer fields, playground equipment, pavilions, picnic areas, basketball courts, horseshoe courts, tennis courts, outdoor hockey and skating facilities, water access, fishing piers, and lighted ski trails.

Recently added to our parks is a 18 hole Frisbee golf course, located on Legion Ski Trails. Maps and scorecards are available at the main entrance. This was a collaborative project between the Park and Recreation Department and the Grand Rapids High School. We would like to sincerely thank the Blandin Foundation for their generosity in helping bring this activity to Grand Rapids!
