~ Background ~

The Grand Rapids Area Library Foundation grew out of citizen concern over financial pressures that threaten to undermine the quality of the library's collection. The primary goal of the foundation is to provide a convenient and effective channel through which donors may contribute to an endowment fund. The Library Foundation allocates earnings the enhancement of the library collection and programming.

There are many ways of giving to the Library Foundation. In addition to cash gifts, donors may give insurance policies, real estate, securities, bequests, and other gifts. A representative of the Library Foundation will be happy to assist donors in developing a plan of giving which will be of benefit to both the donor and the Library Foundation.
