The City of Grand Rapids offers recreational programs on a quarterly basis.  Program brochures are available at the Grand Rapids Park & Recreation Department (located in the IRA Civic Center), Grand Rapids City Hall, Grand Rapids Public Library, and at Community Education Office of District #318.  Many of our programs are also located in the Community Education Brochure.  Click the link above if you have questions.


Program registration can take place 3 ways:

1. In person at the IRA Civic Center, Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm

2. By Mail. Simply print the registration form listed by the activity below and mail in to the address on the form.

Registration Procedures

The Grand Rapids Park & Recreation Department establishes programs based on a minimum number of participants. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes to meet these minimum standards.

There are several ways to register for our programs.

  1. Online at HERE
  2. By mail - Send your registration form to: Park and Recreation Department, Attention:  Tony, 420 North Pokegama Avenue, Grand Rapids, MN  55744
  3. In person - Stop in our office which is located in the main lobby of the IRA Civic Center, located at 1401 NW 3rd Avenue, during regular business hours. 

All of our notifications for cancellations, schedules,and etc. are done via email.  Our department asks for email for this purpose only.  If you could please give us your email at the time of registration this will be appreciated.
