YEARLY LICENSES
If you live in the City of Grand Rapids, you must have a license for each pet at your address.  The yearly fee is $10 per animal.
LIFETIME LICENSES

A dog or cat will receive a free lifetime license if owner provides proof of spay or neuter of said animal along with vaccination.

City of Grand Rapids / Public Utilities Commission Compost Site:

The City of Grand Rapids, Public Utilities Commission and Itasca County partnered in 1988 to create a public compost site for yard waste such as grass clippings and leaves.  The composted material is turned twice a year and once compost material has decayed it is available to the public. Runways and Taxiways

The Grand Rapids/Itasca County Airport has one 5,755 foot paved runway with a paved parallel taxiway. There are two sod runways, measuring 2,968 feet and 1,450 feet, respectively. Yellow boundary markers mark the sod runways. Please note, the sod runways are not maintained and closed to wheeled aircraft during winter months. The Airport has private a seaplane base. The Itasca Cemetery Association formed in March of 1896 and assumed the care of Itasca Cemetery.  The original plat map consisted of Divisions A, B, C, and D.
